Payment
For Cesar Exercise Therapy, direct reimbursement through the health insurer may sometimes be possible. For acupuncture, and for treatments that are not reimbursed or no longer reimbursed, you pay directly at the practice. You receive an invoice that you can submit to your insurer.
Cancelling an appointment
Sometimes plans change. Please cancel as early as possible. Cancellation at least 24 hours before the appointment is free of charge. Later cancellation or a missed appointment may be charged, because the reserved time can usually not be filled.
Referral
You usually do not need a GP referral for acupuncture or Cesar Exercise Therapy. If symptoms are severe, sudden or changing quickly, your GP is the first step.
AGB-codes
You need these codes to submit your invoice:
- Cesar Exercise Therapy: 07-999074

Reimbursement for Cesar Exercise Therapy
Cesar Exercise Therapy may be reimbursed through supplementary health insurance. Many Dutch supplementary packages reimburse a limited number of sessions per year, often about 9 to 20. For certain chronic indications, reimbursement from basic health insurance may apply from the 21st treatment onwards.
What applies to you depends on your indication, policy and possible contracts. Sometimes Cesar Exercise Therapy shares the same reimbursement budget as physiotherapy. Always check this with your health insurer.
Reimbursement for acupuncture
Depends on your policy: acupuncture is not covered by Dutch basic health insurance. Reimbursement may be possible through supplementary health insurance. Some supplementary packages reimburse part of acupuncture under complementary care.
I am registered with the NVA. Because of this, treatments may be eligible for partial reimbursement with many health insurers. Conditions differ per insurer and policy, so always check your own policy conditions.
You usually pay at the practice and submit the invoice to your health insurer yourself.
Before your first appointment, I advise you to check your own policy conditions or contact your health insurer. They can tell you how many treatments are reimbursed and under which conditions.
A useful starting point is Zorgwijzer.nl, where you can look up current reimbursements for Cesar Exercise Therapy and acupuncture per Dutch health insurer.
